> It stands to reason that when you play good offense, good
defense and get good goaltending, you're likely to succeed.
>
> This was the case Saturday, as the Pride topped the Crush.
Catherine Parkinson had a natural hat trick in the first
frame to get things going. The defensive crew was led by
Angelina Deprizio and Casey Eustis was very strong between
the pipes, to lead a solid effort by the whole team.

Comments:
At the beginning of the year I told the girls we were going
to be in a good game every game...and this weekend was no
exception. It was a back and forth game. We were breaking
the puck out good, we were passing it up but we couldn't
finish it off. The goalie was very good and the players were
big and fast. They caught our defense on our heels a couple
of times and came out with cheap goals. All in all it was a
very fast good game. I was very impressed with the girls
effort but we came up short.
A close game against a tough
team. A great end to end rush by Brenna Callahan resulted in
the home teams only goal. There were several other close
calls, including a shot at the buzzer. We'll get 'em next
time!

Game Location: Home
PRIDE Goals: 0

First Star: Michaela Sweeney

Second Star Accomplishment: Outstanding Defensive Game
Comments:
One of the tougher outings of the season aginst our nemesis.
Burrillville's legs had a little more spring in them in this
holiday rematch. A good defensive effort. We will need a
concerted A+ effort to beat this disciplined, well coached
club.
December 9, 2007 vs. Andover U14

Second Star Accomplishment: Outstanding Offensive Game
Third Star: All 4 Defense
Third Star Accomplishment: Outstanding Defensive Game
Comments:
We came out in the first period and I told the girls to
"dump and run" and they executed it perfectly. This is what
produced our first goal. Alex and Caroline dug the puck out
to Catherine who was exactly where she was supposed to be!
Our second goal was a beautiful backhand shot by Tay Kitts,
which in the previous shift- she skated around her backhand
to try to get a forehand off and couldn't get it done. Way
to take instructions Tay! Our defense once again was solid,
Brenna, Angelina, Mickey and Amy--great job! Melissa did a
great job in net! If there was a 4th star
accomplishment, it would go to Jackie Callahan for getting
Brenna there on time even though her "smart" car is not so
smart!

TO THE PUCK. I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED SECOND AND THIRD
PERIOD BUT WE WEREN'T PLAYING HOCKEY. WE KEPT GETTING BACKED
INTO OUR OWN ZONE AND COULDN'T BREAK IT OUT. HOPEFULLY NEXT
TIME WE'LL FINISH THE JOB.

Comments:
The tournament finals went down to the wire. It was 1-1
after 1 and still 1-1 after 2. Falmouth surged ahead in the
3rd only to have two Walpole goals bring their tournament
hopes to an end. The girls never gave up, including a mad
scramble in front of the Walpole net in the last minute,
but, alas, it was not to be.
The coaches want to thank the girls for a tremendous effort
and achievement, playing some of the best clubs they've
encountered and making us all full of "Pride"

Falmouth came up with another strong team effort against a
bigger team. Micky Sweeney was a standout, with a hat trick
from the center position. Alex Good netted the other
Falmouth goal. Solid defensive play by several girls.
A good lead up to the Thanksgiving tournament.

up to par. A win is a win!
